The Occupation Tour
Explore the occupation of Guernsey from 1940 to 1945
This 3 and a half hour tour is the perfect introduction to the history of the German Occupation in the north of the Island and beyond. Guernsey, along with the other Channel Islands, was occupied by German Forces from 1940 to 1945 and this period greatly shaped the island’s history and landscape. We will cover a general introduction of this period, what it meant for the island and its residents and why the Germans chose to occupy the Channel Islands. As we explore Guernsey’s north coast we will hear tales of evacuations, how daily life was affected during this time and see some of the German fortifications that still remain today, over 70 years after liberation. Cost- £15 per person

Tales of the Town
Explore Guernsey's picturesque capital, St Peter Port
This 3 and a half hour tour will take us around the main sights in St Peter Port. We will start off with an overview of Guernsey’s culture and heritage before meandering through the cobbled streets of St Peter Port, learning about the history of this small but busy town. Next we head past the beautiful Town Church before heading up to Hauteville to see the residence of famous French poet Victor Hugo who spent 15 years exiled in Guernsey. We will then head back down towards the harbour, to castle emplacement, where will hear more about the maritime history of the island. At our final stop we will hear about Castle Cornet, the imposing fortification that guarded the historic town, and is now a museum. Once the tour has ended you may wish to venture inside to look around the various museums and enjoy the views of the sea and the neighbouring islands. (Summer months only, additional charge applies) Cost- £15 per person

Views and Visitors of the South Coast
Explore the history of the stunning south coast
Our 3 and a half hour tour begins from Jerbourg point in the parish of St Martins, where will hear an introduction to the island including its constitution, geography, it’s Bailiwick, and the German Occupation. Next we continue around the coast to the famed Moulin Huet. This bay was favoured by some of Guernsey’s most famous visitors throughout the years, Victor Hugo and Renoir, both of whom spent time in Guernsey during the 1800s. We will stop for refreshments before heading inland to some of Guernsey’s winding country lanes, viewing traditional farmhouses and cottages and their historical features. Our final stop, Saints Bay, is one of Guernsey’s most beautiful cliff side coves. Here we will hear about Guernsey’s strong connection to the sea, and even the unfortunate tale of a shipwreck in this very bay. Cost- £15 per person
